Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Time rehearsing plays spent with Thom Sambrook and his mom, Betty Sambrook, were memorable to say the least! Somehow, the shows always went on; despite numerous interruptions and frequent drama (not in the play scripts). MIRACLES! Someone should have been filming the process of prepping these plays! Talk about ideas for future sitcoms! Thom would often direct us and challenge us! Some of Thom’s play choices made us scratch our heads! With his out of the box direction and Betty’s networking – no play way impossible! When you shared the stage with Thom, you MADE SURE you memorized HIS lines, too. He WAS ALWAYS in character… His casts signed on for the ride of their lives; once they joined a cast *with Thom directing! He was devoted to theater. It was in his blood! He and his mom managed to gather up folks, who never thought of going on stage! We became family, friends, and to this day, love to reminisce about theater days with Thom and Betty! Thom and I regularly exchanged FB posts with one another. I loved his sense of humor! He never held back on FB! Unfiltered and fun! What a character! His mom, Betty, must be gathering up troops of angels for heavenly performances! She and her son will be together again! A dynamic duo! Thanks for the memories, Thom! You will be a tough act to follow! Love you, my friend! Break a leg! Donna Dachs
