Phillips, Maine - Ryan Patrick McAuliffe, 44, passed away unexpectedly on January 30, 2024, after a brief illness at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Ryan was born on October 28, 1979 at Cape Cod Hospital in Barnstable, MA. He graduated from Barnstable High School in 1998. To his friends, he was affectionately known as “Wiggy.”
During Ryan’s early years, he enjoyed his time spent in the village of Barnstable, at the harbor, and Sandy Neck beach with his close friends. Winters were spent traveling often up North to ski and snowboard. After high school he moved to Colorado then Florida and eventually returned to his roots on Cape Cod, working as an equipment operator, painter, landscaper, and pool technician. Ryan discovered an interest in antiques and collecting baseball cards. With the help of his good friend, Bruce, Ryan was able to find his niche at the Antiques Center of Yarmouth.
In 2020, Ryan relocated to Maine to explore his passion for snowmobiling (also known as braaping) and ATVing along the hundreds of trails accessible from his home. He loved hosting family and friends.
Ryan was an animal lover and had rescued three cats, all of whom will be cared for by close family members.
Ryan is survived by his mother, Joyce McAuliffe and his stepfather, Peter Antonini of East Sandwich, MA; his brother, Matthew McAuliffe and his wife, Ellen; along with Ryan’s beloved nephews, MJ and Max of Centerville, MA. He also left behind many extended family members and many friends, and two very dear friends, Eric and Jon Britton of Barnstable, MA.

My condolences, Joyce, Matt, Ellen, MJ and Max. Ryan was a great friend. We had so many good times and laughs together. He’s truly missed.
