Poland- Michael B. Fecteau, 64, of Blackcat Mountain Road died unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Michael was born in Lewiston, Maine on December 4, 1957 the son of the late Raymond and Pearl (Ouellette) Fecteau.
On March 15, 1986, Michael married the love of his life, Kathryn J. Powers in Farmington, Maine.
From a very young age, Michael would accompany his father, an accomplished Mason, on jobs working primarily as a laborer for his dad, but was always watching and learning the trade from his father and eventually took over his father’s business and continued to build on the family name with his great skill in masonry. Michael loved to cook, it was his smoked meats that family and friends would always look forward to. He loved fly fishing, camping and being in the outdoors.
He was a member of the Pleasant River ASL Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses where he served as an Elder for many years. He was instrumental in the construction of Kingdom Halls all over New England. He also was learning sign language so that he could help teach the Bible to the deaf. He loved to help others and share Bible truths.
Michael always took pride in his work, loved animals, especially his new cat George. He was a kind, loving, loyal, full of life man who will be missed by many.
Michael was predeceased by a brother, Daniel Fecteau. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Fecteau of Poland; a son, Luke Fecteau of Poland; a daughter, Kasha and her husband Philip Aleo of FL; two brothers, Paul and his wife Rosalie Fecteau of Auburn and James and his wife Julie Fecteau of Auburn; several nieces and nephews.
