Kennebunkport- Stuart P. Fraser, 64, of Kennebunkport, ME passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Maine Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Stuart was born in St. Albans, New York the son of Stuart E. and Jean M. Buchanan Fraser. He attended local schools in New York and graduated from Northport High School in the class of 1968. Shortly after, Stuart enlisted and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1970, completing a 13 month tour in Vietnam with the 5th Marines. Afterwards, he furthered his education, earning a Bachelors degree in Finance from the University of Oklahoma in 1974. He married Dorothy Anne St. Laurence in Northampton, MA on November 9, 1985. Stuart worked as the CFO for the VA New England Healthcare System. He retired in 2009 with more than thirty seven years of service. In his spare time, he was happiest when out working in his yard. He was an avid New England Patriots fan. However, his greatest love was the time he spent surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Stuart is survived by his wife Dorothy Anne Fraser of Kennebunkport; two sons Kyle Fraser of Kennebunkport and Justin Fraser of College Park, MD; a daughter Penelope and her husband Christopher Darienzo of East Northport, NY; three grandchildren Cole, Paige and Jake Darienzo all of East Northport, NY; four sisters Margaret Fraser of Phoenix, AZ, Evelyn Jordan of Hopkinton, MA, Bonnie Fraser of Northport, NY and Debbie Lauer of West Bend, WI; two brothers Edwin Fraser of Shrewsbury, MA and Ian Fraser of Oak Island, NC; many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the direction of the Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland, Maine.   5. it is an honor to have called Stu my brother in law. I could not have asked for him to love my sister and nephews more. He protected them as well as he protected us all serving in the marines in Vietnam and I thank him for that. I will miss his passionate views on politics, sports and world events. Rest in peace Stu. Love you.
