  3. I saw the story in the paper today, and realized the connection. I wore Paul Getchell’s POW bracelet on my wrist for many years, when I was in middle and high school. I still have it. I was glad to hear of his return several years ago. I am sorry to hear of Teresa’s passing, but so glad to know that they will be reunited. My thoughts have been with you all many times over the years, and are again today.

    – Barbara Marshall

  4. To Gregory and Karen,We were so saddened by the news of your mother passing away. We can never forget your mom and dad, we have so many fond memories of them from Ryder Street. It’s been many years, but your family has always been in our thoughts and prayers. Both our parents have passed, but we know how very special your parents were to them. May you find comfort in knowing that the 4 of them are together again. Much love to you…from Vanessa, David and Susan Shaker.

  5. YDear Karen, Greg and Family, Your mom was one of the most wonderful women I have ever known. We worked together at Mercy Pulmonay and we were friends. She loved you both so much and she was always talking about you and your dad. She was amazing and I know you will miss her more than words can say. You are in my prayers. I know that she must be so happy to be with your dad and in the presence of her Lord. I will always carry her in my heart. My love to you all. Cease Hamblen

  6. Teresa was a mentor to me when I was a nurse in the Heartline Program at USM. She not only taught met the logistics of running a pulmonary rehab program, but set an example for caring, wisdom, practicality, and humor. I am saddened to hear of her passing and extend my sympathy to John and her children.

  7. My condolences to your family. I was one of the Riverside golfers who golfed on Thursdays with Teresa. Besides being a good golfer, she was honest, competitive in a fun way, concerned and just great to be with. She will be missed by all who knew her.

  8. Greg, Karen and Uncle John You are in my thoughts and prayers. I’ve known all of you since about 1981 (31 years). Mother will be missed greatly. Just seems like yesterday Greg and I were having tea in the kitchen with her while we joked around. Uncle John would come in from the yard carrying Rosie or Ginger with a big smile on his face… Those days will NEVER be forgotten. Petea”
