Giovanna Joanne Nicknair Obituary (1935

SOUTH PORTLAND - Giovanna Joanne (DiMillo) Nicknair, 80, of Landry Circle, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 7th, 2015. She was born May 20, 1935 in Portland, the daughter of Luigi and Maria DiMillo. Joanne married Paul Nicknair and raised two children, David and Laura. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and was very close with her sisters and brother. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Paul E. Nicknair; brothers-in-law: Ivan and Rev. Harold; four sisters-in law: Rose, Blanche, Violet, and Bernadette. Joanne is survived by her children: David Nicknair and his wife Karen, of Golden, CO and Laura Nicknair Sroka and her husband David, of Niwot, CO. Also survived by her adored grandchildren Delaney, Carson, Kendal and Olivia; her sisters: Lee, Anna, Gina and Francis: brother, Remo; sister-in-law: Lilly and many nieces and nephews. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel, 1024 Broadway, South Portland. Prayers will be recited at the Chapel on Tuesday at 9:15 AM followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peters Church, 72 Federal Street, Portland. Burial will follow at Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland.
